FAQs
Where is The House of Chrome Pole Fitness studio located?
The House of Chrome Pole Fitness Studio is located at 4333 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33609
We’re in the plaza with the big yellow Richmond Time Service sign, right next to Hairland.
Please aim to arrive at least 10 minutes early! We start classes on time and lock the doors for safety.
This is my first pole dancing class. Which beginner pole dance class should I start with?
Yay! We recommend starting with our “First Time Pole Class,” “Slay: Beginner Pole Tricks,” or enrolling in a multi-week Intro to Pole course.
What should I wear to pole dance class?
We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel great as long as it exposes your skin. It’s not just for show! Exposed skin is what helps you stick to the pole.
You’ll specifically want to find clothing that exposes your thighs and arms. For first time students, a tank top/sports bra/bathing suit top + bikini bottoms/moisture-wicking briefs, or short shorts 3” long or less will work fine.
The truth is, the longer you pole dance, the less f*cks you’ll give and the less clothes you’ll wear.
Reminder: Each class may have different wardrobe requirements. Please check the class description on Mindbody ahead of time to see what to bring.
What do I bring to pole dance class?
You’ll want to have these in your dance bag: a bottle of water, socks, knee pads, and pole grip. We have all of these (plus snacks!) available for purchase at the pole dance studio.
Some pole dance classes may require pole dance heels, which we allow students to rent for class. Check the class description on Mindbody to see if your class requires pole heels.
What kind of heels should I bring to pole dance class?
Pole heels are specific shoes for pole dancing where the heel starts at 6” tall. Wearing them looks scary, but the balance is all on the large platform versus the actual heel, so they’re much more stable than they look! We recommend purchasing pole heels from Cirilla’s on Dale Mabry or Pleasers.com.
What not to wear to pole dance class:
DON’T wear lotion the day of pole dance class! This will make you slip and slide off the pole, it’s difficult to clean off, plus it makes the pole slippery for any student who uses it after you.
DON’T wear leggings or long sleeves! You need your thighs and arms exposed.
DON’T wear jewelry! It’s a safety hazard.
Are pole heels the same as dance heels?
No. Dance heels, worn in heels class and sometimes twerk, have a much shorter heel which is usually 3.5” or less. You can purchase these on Amazon.
What other classes does The House of Chrome Pole Fitness offer?
We offer a variety of dance and movement classes! Our weekly line up includes twerk, heels, lollipop, pole silks, yoga, and strength conditioning in addition to our pole dance classes. We also offer monthly “pop up” classes dedicated to a specialized workshop such as burlesque, 80’s style pole dance, and more.
